Today’s post will look at the Ventura County real estate market in November 2016. The numbers from November show that there is very little inventory out there for would-be homebuyers. That could be somewhat expected as families tend to be getting ready for the holidays and are hesitant to put their homes on the market at this time of year. Reflected in the fact that there was low inventory, homes in all parts of the county sold for above the listing price. This was in stark contrast to October were Ventura County showed the average sales price below the listing price.
For purposes of this and future blog posts, Ventura County statistics are based off of the following ten cities in Ventura County: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura. This data is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and may not contain information on properties that were sold off market. Number of homes sold does not include residential income, lots and lands, or commercial.
