March 2016 Ventura County Real Estate Market Analysis

Today is the first post in a new series that we will be providing every month. One of the most frequent questions we get asked is what we think about the local real estate market. My humble opinion is that if you ask 10 people, you will get 10 different responses about what they think about the market. Rather than providing our opinion, we thought it would be a good idea to provide actual data of what the Ventura County real estate market has done each month. That way, Ventura County residents can form their own opinions about the market based on real data. As we provide these updates each month, hopefully you can use them to spot any trends and maybe use the information to make informed decisions. For purposes of this and future blog posts, Ventura County statistics are based off of the following ten cities in Ventura County: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Thousand oaks, and Ventura. This data is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and may not contain information on properties that were sold off market.
