2015 Ventura County Fair

The 2015 Ventura county fair is upon us and this year promises to bring visitors all the fun and enjoyment of year’s past. In today’s post, we decided to bring you pertinent information that Ventura County residents may find helpful when planning their trip to the fair. As the summer slowly starts to wind down, the 2015 Ventura county fair is a great opportunity to spend some quality, family time before the school year begins.

Parking

Visitors can park at the Ventura county fairgrounds for $10 per car. Parking is limited and is not always easy to find. There are also free shuttles that can transport you and your family to/from the fair. The shuttle stops will be located at the following locations:

• Ventura County Government Center
•Ventura High School
•Pacific View Mall
•VUSD Parking Lot, W. Stanley Ave at Hwy 33
•Oxnard Performing Arts Center
•Harbor Boulevard @ Schooner Drive in Ventura

2015 Ventura County Fair Hours

The Fair opens every day at 11:00 AM, with the exception of August 11th, when it opens up at 10:00 AM for early birds. Admission can be purchased up until 10:00 PM, with the Fair’s official closing time being at 11:00 PM.

Ticket Prices

Children under 5 years of age: free
Children 6-12 years of age: $9
Adults 13 years of age and older: $12
Seniors 55-99 years of age: $9
Super seniors 100 years of age and older: free

Grandstand Entertainment

The following concerts and rodeos all come free with your paid admission to the fair. The entrainment and concert series are presented by Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Chumash Casino.

Special Admission Days

Below are dates that the 2015 Ventura county fair will be offering discounted admission or other specials

Thursday, August 6th:
Feed the Need “Fair Cares” Food drive: For those who purchase an adult admission ticket and bring 5 cans of food to donate before 3:00 PM, you will get a free return ticket that can be used for an adult admission between August 10th-13th.
Pay One Price Carnival Wristbands: From opening until 6:00 PM, wristbands will be sold for $25 that allow unlimited carnival rides until 7:00 PM.

Friday, August 7th
Youth day: All children 12 years of age and younger will receive free admission all day.

Saturday, August 8th
Fair Parade: The 2015 Ventura county fair parade will proceed down Main Street starting at 10:00 AM.

Sunday, August 9th
Dia de la Familia: A celebration of family featuring 3 musical artists in the grandstand starting at 3:00 PM.

Monday, August 10th
Pay One Price Carnival Wristbands: From opening until 6:00 PM, wristbands will be sold for $25 that allow unlimited carnival rides until 7:00 PM.

Tuesday, August 11th
Seniors and Persons with Disabilities Day: Seniors 65 years of age and older and persons with disabilities will receive free admission all day.
Pay One Price Carnival Wristbands: From opening until 6:00 PM, wristbands will be sold for $25 that allow unlimited carnival rides until 7:00 PM.

Wednesday, August 12th:
$3 Before 3 DayAdmission to all 2015 Ventura county fair visitors is $3 before 3 PM.

Thursday, August 13th:
Military Appreciation Day: All military personnel will receive free admission all day. A current, valid military ID is needed for free admission.
Pay One Price Carnival Wristbands: From opening until 6:00 PM, wristbands will be sold for $25 that allow unlimited carnival rides until 7:00 PM

Fair Schedule

There will be many different exhibits and contests that will be held throughout the 2015 Ventura county fair. These exhibits and concerts are hosted by different departments of the Fair. Make sure to check with the Fair Departments to locate when and where your exhibit or contest of choice will be located. There is also an hourly schedule for each day to help visitors plan their trip to the fair. The 2015 Ventura county fair daily schedule will allow you to view and print the schedule for the day of your choosing.
