June 2017 Ventura County Real Estate Market Analysis

Today’s post will look at the Ventura County real estate market in June 2017. The number of homes sold in June increased by over 15% since May. With less than 2 months of inventory, demand for housing in Ventura County remains high. Average days on market decreased from May, helping to show that houses are moving quickly. Houses listed that are priced well can easily see multiple offers over asking price during the first weekend on market. While this may be good news for sellers, buyers are facing strong competition while looking for a place to call home.

For purposes of this and future blog posts, Ventura County statistics are based off of the following ten cities in Ventura County: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura. This data is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and may not contain information on properties that were sold off market. Number of homes sold does not include residential income, lots and lands, or commercial.
