April 2017 Ventura County Real Estate Market Analysis

Today’s post will look at the Ventura County real estate market in April 2017. This month saw very similar numbers to what were seen in March. Nothing stands out as abnormal as we look at the numbers across the board. For this month’s analysis, however, we added the month-over-month metric to go along with the year-over-year metric that we added last month. This number shows that the housing market dipped 0.4% from last month, which probably doesn’t mean much in the big scheme of things. Until we collect more data on this metric, we will be unable to determine if there is a larger trend, or if this is just a small blip on the radar.

For purposes of this and future blog posts, Ventura County statistics are based off of the following ten cities in Ventura County: Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Simi Valley, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, and Ventura. This data is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and may not contain information on properties that were sold off market. Number of homes sold does not include residential income, lots and lands, or commercial.
